Originally the Sturmanskie watch was designed specifically for the Armed Forces of the USSR. Only in 1983 would Sturmanskie watches become available to the public.
Astronauts from France, Germany, Japan, India and Poland, making joint flights on the International Space Program, have taken the Sturmanskie watch with them into space.
In 12 April 1961 Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin took along the specially manufactured watch Sturmanskie on the first manned flight in space. In weightlessness and accelerations the watch worked flawlessly. A Sturmanskie worn by Yuri Gagarin himself was the first watch in space.

The Mars 2 limited line is a series of timepieces for the future, which combine vibrant futuristic aesthetics with equally stunning functionality. They are protected from water and vibration, and are powered by the reliable Japanese self-winding NH35 Seiko calibre with a 41-hour power reserve. This model has a trendy black finish with bright red highlights. The dial shows the time and the date, and the numbers and hands are luminous and perfectly visible in the dark. The sides of the case are covered with enamel by hand. The crown is additionally protected from water. Shock absorbers between the case and the movement protect the calibre from vibration, while the sapphire crystal securely covers the dial.
